{All Family Fun Day photos were taken by our talented and illustrious blog photographer, Luann Baily. Luann is an exceptional local photographer who focuses on family and wedding photography.}

We could not have been any luckier with the weather or the company on August 11th during our 6th Annual Family Fun Day at Sam Mazza’s Farm! We LOVED spending the day with you and your families. The pictures below are only a few of those taken of the day, and you can find a ton more in our Facebook album!

First, we need to give a huge thank you to our Title Sponsors, Hatley and VHEIP, who helped make our 6th annual Family Fun Day possible!

Hatley

Hatley’s mission is to create fun, well-designed, nature-inspired apparel and gifts for the whole family in an ecologically responsible way. We love the soft cotton and beautiful, whimsical designs for adults and kids. Another thing we can’t emphasize enough- Hatley products last. The cute bear PJs you just bought will get passed down over and over. The terrycloth-lined raincoats are just perfect for our drizzly, cold springs and falls. This sort of quality is why we love Hatley. We were so lucky to have one item of an assortment of different Hatley products in every goody bag.

VHEIP

The Vermont Higher Education Investment Plan (VHEIP) is our state-sponsored 529 college savings plan. The plan is administered by Vermont Student Assistance Corporation (VSAC), Vermont’s advocate for students in their pursuit of higher education. While your kids are small, think BIG! By opening a college savings account (starting with just $25), you’re creating opportunities for your child’s future. Students from families who save even small amounts for education are three times more likely to go on to complete college or other training after high school. It’s easy to get a college savings fund going, and with VHEIP, Vermont taxpayers get a Vermont state income tax credit on their annual contributions.

Thank you to our Print Sponsor, Mater Christi School, for generously providing adorable t-shirts for every child in attendance, and for partnering with us for the third year in a row! BVTMB is so grateful for their continued support!

Mater Christi School has a long tradition of academic excellence and values-centered education. It is sponsored by the Mercy Education System of the Americas, whose critical concerns are: immigration, non-violence, racism, earth, and women. This close-knit educational community is a place where students learn and grow spiritually, intellectually, and interpersonally in a dynamic and nurturing learning environment. Mater Christi School is a place where children grow, thrive, and learn.

Thank you to our Table Sponsors for providing tons of fun activities for the kids!

Fairy wands, fake snow, slime, ninja course, snakes (!!!), slackline, fantastic music, fantasy photo shoot, bounce house and more! Jenn from Runaway Imagination has generously provided an album with photos from Family Fun Day and each family may download one of her gorgeous photos for free.

We loved the fresh salads, delicious pulled pork, fresh rolls, refreshing cold drinks, and delicious cupcakes. The pizza was a big hit with our little ones!

A huge thank you to our tremendously generous Auction Sponsors!

With your help, we auctioned off an extravagant three-course dinner for 8 cooked in your own home by Leunig’s own Chef Collins. Following this, we had two silent auction packages: dinner for two at Leunig’s and a night at Hotel Vermont, and a cooking class for two, and a night at The Essex. These packages alone raised close to $1500 for Camp Ta-Kum-Ta. We are so grateful to be able to give back to this inspiring camp that serves children with cancer. We hope all our sponsors and Family Fun Day participants feel a strong sense of the power of Vermont community- that we were able to work together in this way to support Camp Ta-Kum-Ta.

We also are so thankful to all of our Raffle Sponsors!

We are so grateful for our silent and online auctions contributors! These donations went a long way to help us support Camp Ta-Kum-Ta. Thanks to your generous support and the support of all families who bought raffle tickets, we were able to raise $1620 for Camp Ta-Kum-Ta! This is our largest donation in 6 years and we couldn’t be more thrilled! Thank you all from the bottoms of our hearts.
