Happy November! Oh my how time flies. 🙂 Lovely to be writing to you all again. Did anyone have a chance to try out the flash technique I talk about last month? How did it go? 🙂
First off, a BIG cozy congratulations to our portrait session giveaway winner Sara! She won the North Photography giveaway in September and I am so happy she did! Her family was just the sweetest to work with and full of beautiful smiles. Thank you Sara & family for being awesome! 🙂
So, this month let’s talk about something a little more exciting than camera technique.
Let’s talk gifts. 🙂
The holidays are upon us and no matter what you celebrate or how you celebrate it, you are likely looking at some gift giving opportunities. Why not think of something super cute and meaningful this year that incorporates some pictures of your Oh! sooo adorable little ones? 🙂 Grandparents, mamas, dads, aunties, and maybe even uncles love thoughtful gifts, especially with cute smiles. 😉
One of the sites that I love sending my clients that order a digital packages too is MPix. They are a professional consumer lab so I know everything that is coming from them is good quality and handled properly. 🙂 You can order cute gifts like wall calendars, dry erase calendar boards, note pads, and height charts from them using your favorite images. Such fun!
If you’re looking for nice quality photo book, check out Blurb. They are a nice step up from your typical online photo book producers and are great at creating bookstore-quality books. 🙂 You can even publish your book if you want. 😉 If you do that, I would like an author signed copy please. 🙂
My new favorite site to look through is Pinhole Press. 🙂 They have so many fun things to browse! The Memory Card game was a favorite of mine ages ago…might have to get a set for old times sake. 😉
Finally, each year I look around for the coolest products that the professional labs I am associated with are offering and put together my favorites to offer my clients. 🙂 These products are only available to North Photography clients. If you are interested in setting up a portrait session for the holidays, there is still time! Please email me at [email protected] for all the details. 🙂
That’s all for now! As always leave any feedback or questions for future photography topics in the comments section. I love to hear from you! Have great rest of the week everyone. 🙂 Be well & Smile often, Kathleen
