We are thrilled to have some fabulous local food and drink at this event! Sample some delicious appetizers, desserts and local drink while you browse the art exhibits.
Aqua ViTea cultivates health one beverage at a time. They brew Kombucha, a delicious, sparkling tea beverage made from tea, sugar, water, and a symbiotic culture of bacteria and yeast. Their name is a play on the Latin expression En aqua vitae veritas, or “in living water there is truth.” As a functional food, Kombucha has been revered for centuries for its life enhancing qualities. The husband-brewer and wife-Naturopathic physician duo behind Aqua ViTea continue the tradition by integrating the science of fermentation with the philosophy of Naturopathic medicine. Hippocrates said, “Let food be thy medicine and medicine be thy food.” They said, “Good idea, Hippocrates,” and started brewing Kombucha.
bevo is a bold food & bar catering company offering personalized fare for both on & off premise events. They offer their own STYLISH event space or they can come to you. Their catering services are creative & comfortably outside the box; they enjoy using many local meats, cheeses, fruits, and vegetables. Their cocktails and bar services provide delicious treats for everyone, including invigorating juice shooters, specialty cocktails and local favorites.
Butterfly Bakery of Vermont is an all natural bakery in Montpelier that hand produces a wide variety of products. They make maple granolas, maple cookies, granola bars and their Vermont grown hot sauces, which have recently been gaining them international acclaim. Their products are available throughout Vermont and beyond, as well as on their website at www.ButterflyBakeryVT.com.
Cabot Creamery Cooperative is providing us a variety of their delicious cheeses to have out for you to snack on! Cabot Creamery is a cooperative of 1,200 dairy farm families located throughout New York and New England. They manage four plants in three states, employing over 1,000 people, who make “The World’s Best” cheeses and dairy products.
Champlain Orchards will be providing tastings of their hard cider, followed by selling it by the glass. At Champlain Orchards they take pride in growing over 100 varieties of apples under strict Eco Apple requirements. As careful stewards of their land, they strive to minimize their carbon footprint and sustainably contribute to their community. Every single apple in their Vermont Hard Cider is pressed, fermented, and crafted right there at their orchard, which makes for a quality local product that’s deliciously drinkable.
Eco Bean and Juice will be providing two salad options, two soup options, smoothies and other vegan treats… everything will be gluten free! We love Eco Bean not only because their food is delicious (and believe us it is) but because it is the first café in the Burlington area that used 100% organic or non GMO green house grown fruit, vegetables, milk, coffee and tea in all of the beverages, raw salads, paninis and soups that they serve.
Farmhouse Chocolates is a small husband and wife run business out of Bristol, started more than 15 years ago in a farmhouse in Randolph. Erlé LaBounty and Eliza La Rocca source the finest organic, fair trade, soy-lecithin free chocolate, with which they craft six different types of chocolate bars, six flavors of rich, dark chocolate truffles, and their crowd pleasing chocolate covered salted caramels–each crafted in small batches by hand. Last summer, they branched out into organic ice cream and sorbet from scratch (pasteurized in-house!), which they currently produce seasonally (May-October), for sale at the Burlington and other farmers’ markets.
Good Comida (literally “good food”) is a VT home bakery making Colombian style cheesecake, VT-style buckeyes and other sweet treats. They will leave you wanting more, but don’t worry they will have some of their sweet treats for sale to take home!
At Hey There, Cupcake, baking is their passion. They are an Essex, Vermont home-based bakery that specializes in gourmet cupcakes. Their cupcakes are made from scratch and baked to order, using the finest and freshest ingredients, including many local ones. Hey There, Cupcake will be offering samples of their delicious cupcakes for everyone to enjoy.
Lincoln Peak Vineyard will be pouring samples and then selling glasses of their delicious wines. Lincoln Peak Vineyard is run by the daughter/father team of Sara Granstrom and Chris Granstrom. Their winery and twelve acres of grapes is located just north of Middlebury. They are 100% estate-bottled, which is a fancy way of say that we grow all our own grapes. Their wine has won a bunch of awards including four Best in Show awards at the International Cold Climate Wine Competition.
Mad River Distillers will be joining us to provide samples of their spirits. Mad River Distillers is a craft producer of small batch rum, whiskies and apple brandy, all of which are distilled and bottled by hand in Warren, VT. Their maple and vanilla rums are particularly tasty! If you live in the greater Burlington area you will have the chance to have more access to Mad River as they have a new location opening on the corner of Main and St. Paul Streets.
Natural Provisions Market & Deli is Vermont owned and operated and located in Williston. They offer a wide selection of natural, local and organic products, fresh produce and delicious prepared health foods. Their mission is providing you with Nature’s Best. O Bread Bakery has been family-owned and operated since 1977, making artisan, European-style breads with organic ingredients, from their hearth oven bakery on the grounds of Shelburne Farms. Making organic bread before organic certification existed- Chuck and Carla have been hand-crafting organic bread in VT since 1973. Today, with the help of the next generation and their small team of skilled bakers, they continue with the mission: to create high-quality breads with the finest ingredients for their local community.
Simple Roots Brewing will be at the event providing samples of their tasty brews and then glasses of beer for purchase. Simple Roots Brewing is husband and wife team Dan Ukolowicz and Kara Pawlusiak. They opened Simple Roots in May 2014 and are in their second year of production. Currently they are a nano-brewery, they converted their garage into a 3 barrel brew house. Their goal is to expand their business and make brewing their full time jobs. Simple Roots is about life’s simple pleasures like hanging out with friends and family while playing cards or lawn games and of course drinking great subtle quaffable beer. Or as they like to say, “making memories one beer at a time.”
Snow Farm Vineyard & Winery will be providing tastings of their amazing wines followed by selling them by the glass. Snow Farm Winery and Vineyard began as a dream in 1992 – to preserve Vermont’s agricultural land in the face of rapid development by providing an alternative for farmers. Their location, on an island in the middle of Lake Champlain permits them to grow cooler climate vinifera grapes, Pinot Noir and Riesling, as well as the more cold hardy French Hybrids, Vidal Blanc and Baco Noir. Thanks to Vermont’s cold winter temperatures, Snow Farm also produces an ice wine, a product that cannot be made in many other places in the world.
Tretap is a local, healthy beverage company that uses pristine water from Vermont Maple trees to make low calorie, low sugar and TASTY hydration beverages. Their products are organic, NON-GMO and Kosher. Their water comes from their families 7th generation maple trees. What’s more Vermont than that?! Tretap will be present giving out samples of their tasty maple water for everyone to enjoy.
