It’s the final countdown and you are going over in your mind everyone that you will see this week at parties and play dates. You would be such a gracious and thoughtful friend/party guest if you could get it together enough not to arrive empty handed. It should be something unique, but not something over-indulgent. Something practical, yet still have an air of gifty-ness. And please, after what you have already spent on gifts for your family, it must be affordable. No, what I really mean is cheap. . I’ve got you covered.

Cilantro-Lime Sea Salt:
2 Cups sea salt
½ cup packed cilantro
Zest of 4 limes
Lemon-Pepper and Chive:
2 cups sea salt
1/2 bunch scallions, greens only
Zest of 4 lemons
1/2 cup coarse pepper
Rosemary-Oregano:
3 sprigs rosemary
1/2 cup packed oregano
Directions:
1. Pulse all ingredients in food processor until blended well.
2. Drink eggnog
3. Spread salt mixture onto cookie sheet and bake in oven for 2 hours at 200 degrees. Stir occasionally.
4. Put back in food processor if it comes out a little clumpy. Use recycled jars with a tag or bow!
