My Favorite YouTube Channels for Everything You Need in Life

Hello, my name is Sarah and I am a YouTube addict.

My YouTube addiction started after my husband and I decided to cut the cord on our cable TV subscription. Because of this, we no longer have access to any cable networks. At first, I was worried about no longer being able to watch all of the Real Housewives franchises, but I have found that I really don’t miss cable at all.

Instead of watching my beloved Housewives, I have been filling my after the kids are asleep downtime with a variety of YouTube channels. Some of the channels I subscribe to are specific to learning more about one of my many hobbies, while others I watch purely for entertainment. Either way, I wanted to put together a list of my top ten favorite YouTube channels for you all! I hope you enjoy them as much as I do.

#1 Iz Harris

Have you ever felt like you would just be best friends with someone if you knew them in real life? This is how I feel about Iz. She and her husband take their two small children all over the globe, including Cuba, Spain, and Amsterdam. Seriously, after every video you watch of hers, you will be inspired to quit your job and travel the world.

#2 Casey Neistat

Casey Neistat is, simply put, the king of YouTube. His channel’s content bounces around between family, travel, tech reviews, and life inspiration. While his content is broad, he is an expert storyteller which is a theme that moves across all of his content. He also has a genuine and high energy personality that makes his content very enjoyable to watch.

#3 Philip DeFranco

Philly D’s content focuses on current news events. On his Monday through Thursday show, he explains a news story and then gives his opinion while asking viewers to chime in on the comment section. I really enjoy how this channel presents many different views and creates a respectful dialogue around current news topics. Just a warning, colorful language is used on this channel.

#4 Peter McKinnon

After checking out all these YouTube channels, are you inspired to start creating your own content? If so, then Peter McKinnon is your guy. He has the best tutorials explaining camera gear, the editing process, and everything else in between. As an added bonus, Peter and Casey have struck up a little bromance so you will see each on the other’s channel from time to time. I highly enjoy watching how two different creators make their own vlogs using the same content.

#5 I Mom So Hard

Kristen Hensley and Jen Smedley are two mommas who aren’t afraid to laugh at themselves. This duo hilariously talks about the struggles and joys of parenting while sipping wine in their kids’ playrooms. These two will make you feel like you’re not the only mom who is about to lose her mind reading Goodnight Moon for the hundredth time.

#6 RachhLoves

Rachel Cooper is my go-to beauty blogger. Her channel has amazing tutorials on how to apply makeup using mostly drugstore products. The makeup looks that she creates are natural, low maintenance, and low cost. I also love how she breaks down how to apply makeup in easy step-by-step instructions.

#7 TED

I love TED talks. On this channel, you can find experts speaking about everything from why we laugh to how to spot a liar and everything in between.

#8 First We Feast (Hot Ones)

Sean Evans interviews famous celebrities including DJ Khaled, Padma Lakshmi, and Casey Neistat while eating hot wings. There are ten wings and ten questions during the interview. The guest and host eat a series of wings that get continually hotter. As the wings get hotter, the questions get more intense as well. This show is so entertaining.

#9 Weelicious

Catherine, a mom of three, shows you how to create simple, healthy meals that can be enjoyed by the whole family. Check out her Valentine’s Day lunch video that will give you plenty of inspiration for your kid’s Valentine’s Day lunch.

#10 Blogilates

Cassey Ho infuses pilates, yoga, barre, and body weight exercises to create intense at-home workouts. Her channel also includes how-to meal prep recipes as well. As an added bonus, if you sign up for her email, she will send you a monthly exercise plan that you can follow. Yes, a free, low impact, and minimal equipment exercise program that you can complete in the comfort of your own home. It doesn’t get better than that!

Are you a fan of any of these channels as well? Also, YouTube is a huge platform, so let me know your favorite channels, so I can add some more subscriptions to my watch list.
