One thing we learned quickly after moving to Vermont, it’s just not fall until you’ve been to Cold Hollow Cider Mill.

The drive alone is awe inspiring, especially when taken during the month of October and leaves are at their most colorful. Even the parking lot is a place for oohing and aahing as you take in the glorious views surrounding you.

One step inside and you are instantly swept away by the smell of Cold Hollow’s cider donuts. A walk through the shop will leave you feeling very warm and fuzzy, not to mention hungry. Locally made crafts and decorative items abound while the vast selection of jams and jellies will leave you drooling.

In the back room you can learn all about how their famous cider is made, and, if you’re lucky, you can watch as a fresh batch is prepared right before your eyes. Get in line for a sample and then be prepared, one sip will leave you hooked and taking home a gallon – or two!

You can stop in for lunch at the Apple Core Luncheonette where I imagine, if Vermont had a taste, that is what it would taste like!

Cold Hollow Cider Mill is the quintessential Vermont tourist spot and the place we bring all our visiting friends and family. Check it out; it’s Vermont to the core!

Cold Hollow Cider Mill is located at  3600 Waterbury-Stowe Road, Waterbury Center, VT and is open 7 days a week from 8 am- 6 pm.

P.S. I was not compensated in any way for this post. I just really like donuts.
