Kids VT 16th Annual Camp & School Fair

With 6 inches of new snow and single digit temps it’s hard to think about summer.  Spring maybe, but not summer.  However, premature though it may seem, late winter is actually the ideal time for parents to sign their kids up for summer camp.

Ah summer camp, brings back memories doesn’t it?  But when we were kids what we failed to realize was that we got into these camps because our parents were smart and calculating.  It wasn’t by chance and it certainly wasn’t a last minute decision.  They planned ahead and now that we’re the responsible parental units we need to take full advantage of the [typography font=”Lobster” size=”24″ size_format=”px” color=”#5b7802″]Kids VT Camp & School Fair[/typography], sponsored by Timberlane Dental Group and New England Federal Credit Union .

Representatives from dozens of camps and schools from all over Vermont and beyond will be attending.  The fair offers parents a unique opportunity to have face-to-face conversations with camp and school staff.  Their programs and activities promise to engage kids of all ages, from pre-school to high-school.

Is your kid interested in gymnastics?  Check!  Got a little animal lover on your hands?  Got it!  A little dare-devil who likes to climb anything and everything?  There’s a camp for that!  They’ve got yoga camp, sailing camp, environmental camp, and even Irish step-dancing camp!  See, I told you, literally a camp for anything your little one may want to try.

So what do you need to know?  Here’s the details:

When:  Saturday, February 2nd

What time:  10am – 2pm

Where:  Burlington Hilton (60 Battery Street)

How Much:  Admission is [typography font=”Lobster” size=”28″ size_format=”px”]FREE![/typography]

Now here’s a little more incentive to commit to going to this event early.  If you pre-register for this fair at kidsvt.com, then you enter yourself for a chance to win a 2013 Raised Jay Summer Camp scholarship or tickets to Sesame Street Love at Burlington’s Flynn Center for the Performing Arts.

So what are you waiting for?  Mark it on your calendars and set a reminder in your phone, you don’t want to miss this event!  In the meantime peruse the full list of exhibitors with your kid(s) and come up with a plan of attack for the big day.  The last thing you want to do is go to an event like this and find yourself wandering the aisles not knowing where to begin.
