We know how hard it can be to find a babysitter. All of us mommas long for a night out with our significant others or perhaps just a chance to run errands without your little ones in tow wreaking havoc.
And lets not even talk about the difficulties of finding a quality nanny! I’ve watched several friends go through the arduous process and it was full of frustration.
And what about finding someone to care for your aging parents? This is the time of life that many of us may find ourselves in a role reversal as we are looking for someone to care for the ones who have always cared for us; our parents.
Babies to Boomers can help you with all of these needs. Babies to Boomers is a Vermont nanny and elder care agency that specializes in the placement of qualified caregivers to families looking for the highest quality care for their loved ones.
Cori Fine and her mother, Carol Bourque, developed Babies to Boomers to help families find safe, loving, and dependable care for their loved ones. Cori has been a professional nanny for the last ten years and is experienced with the ins and outs of nanny care as well as the delicate balance between the family and their nanny. Carol is a certified professional elder care companion, and has the tools to provide our caregivers with the knowledge and compassion to care for the elderly. The goal of Babies to Boomers is to provide the perfect match for you and your family!
Their services include permanent placements such as:
- Live-in
- Live-out
- Full-time
- Part-time

- Nanny sharing
And temporary placements such as:
- Sitter services

OK so there goal is to provide you with a perfect match for you and your family, right? Well Shannon and I had a chance to try out their services to see if they could indeed accomplish that goal for us. Here are some of Nissa’s thoughts on her experience with Babies to Boomers…
I wasn’t quite sure what to expect from an agency. I had never used one before and I was unsure of what it was they actually did and how happy I would be with the person they provided for us.
Cori made the process so easy! She was in contact with us throughout the process (even in the midst of having her first baby!) and walked us through each step. First we filled out a form with what our needs were, preferences, etc. Then Cori sent us a few people who were interested in the job along with their profiles so we could assess which one we thought would be a good fit. From there I was able to talk to my choice over the phone which was very reassuring!
Sarah was excellent with my girls. From the moment she arrived she jumped right in and helped my toddler to feel at ease by asking lots of questions and allowing her to talk (one of her favorite things). The hubs and I were able to leave without any reservations, enjoyed a night out, and came home to sleeping kids and a picked up house! Sarah truly was a great fit for our kids and family.
Here are Shannon’s thoughts on her experience with Babies to Boomers:
To say I was a little nervous to leave my two boys with a stranger was an understatement. My oldest has been known to unnerve babysitters with his endless moaning. So for the 24 hours leading up to our date night we laid it all out for him, telling him what to expect, and detailing appropriate consequences for inappropriate behavior.
All that being said, Carol showed up on time and with a smile on her face. Aden immediately asked if she’d like to see his room and proceeded to take her on a tour. She engaged right away with him and it wasn’t long before my little one was trying to get in on the fun. After I gave her the rundown on routines and bedtime she assured me that all would be well and to enjoy myself.
And so I did. No phone calls, no texts, no news is good news. When we got back home the house was quiet, the children were in bed, the toys were picked up, and Carol was reading on the couch. We discussed the evening and she said that all went well; they played, read stories, cleaned up and went to bed. No fuss, no muss! Good news for this momma’s heart.

We just moved to Vermont a little over a year ago, with ALL of our family 1200 miles away! With twin toddlers, we would love a little break!! 🙂 🙂
We had a date night for the first time in a year about 2 months ago
LOL! That last time Alan and I went out on a date was… well…. short lived. We LOVE the sitter (my sister-in-law) and we always trust her. But she has two children of her own and a schedule and blah, blah, blah. So planning a night out that works for everyone is seldom and always includes us dropping off our three kids AND picking them up… hence, no adult drinks, packing the kiddos up, dealing with their second wind and putting them to bed. SO, it’s always easier to just stay home. That’s why we’ve been out twice in two+ years. (One was trip to the hospital to have #3.) This prize would be nothing short of aMAZing!
Would love to find a new sitter – thanks for the contest!
Wow, what a GREAT service!
I just discovered Babies to Boomers in October. Cori was fabulous to work with – we got a great sitter for the night and felt GOOD about it. Highly recommend!
We have no family close by nor a regular babysitter so we rarely get a night out. I’ve been curious about these type of services so thanks for the info.
