Why We Made This Selection and Background Knowledge
Julie: Not much at all other than I knew it had been spoofed in that Kristen Bell show “THE WOMAN IN THE HOUSE ACROSS THE STREET FROM THE GIRL IN THE WINDOW”
Claire: Nothing really, other than seeing it around the #bookstagram world quite a bit.
Overall Opinion of the Book
Claire: I thought this book was very slow and difficult to get into. I didn’t really get into it until the point where we found out who the killer was. I did not see that coming.
Julie: I enjoyed listening to it but didn’t really find any of the twists hard to predict. But it was entertaining and kept my attention.
Overall Opinion of the Movie
Julie: It just wasn’t it for me.
Claire: They left so much out! I mean, it is a large book, but I thought the beginning of the movie went by super fast.
Before you say which you liked better, did you read the book or listen to the audiobook… because it matters.
Claire: Okay, so I started with the Kindle edition. Then some things came up and I didn’t think I’d have time to finish it, so I switched to the audio. Was not really a fan of the narrator, so I tried to go back to the Kindle but couldn’t because I kept hearing the narrator’s voice as I read. So ultimately, I finished with the audio.
Julie: Audiobook
