This 5 day festival celebrates the culture and history of this famous granite producing city with fireworks, food, musical performances, children’s activities, and shopping. Most events and activities are free to the public.

Lamoille County Field Days in Johnson, VT:
With lots of fun and entertainment planned, this traditional agricultural fair has exhibits, entertainment, demonstrations & midway rides, 4-H exhibits, lumberjack roundup, draft horse show, gymkhana for adults and kids, talent show, bingo, oxen, horse, pony and mini horse pulls. There is an animal barn and children’s activities as well.

Essex Dog Days of Summer Celebration:
The Essex Dog Park is hosting the Third Annual Essex Dog Days of Summer Celebration at Maple Street Park from 10 am until 2 pm. This free event is open to everyone, including your on-leash pups which will be allowed in the park for an exciting day of Disc Dog Competitions by Vermont Discdogs and chances to visit with local dog and pet-related businesses from around the state of Vermont. The event benefits the Essex Dog Park to help fund the on-going costs of the park. Fun for the whole family, and if you’re looking to add to your family, local animal rescues will be attending. Food will be available for sale from the Sidewalk Shack.
