Shop Local: My Top 15 Favorite Local Etsy Shops

As many of you dear readers already know, I LOVE Etsy! I have found so many wonderful crafters and artists since starting this blog and I love perusing their Etsy shops and making my wish lists.

You all probably also know by now that BVT Moms is passionate about supporting local businesses. We are so blessed in VT to have so many wonderful places to choose from! I love going shopping, but that is not always easy and it is definitely not stress free with a little toddler in tow (and soon to be newborn added to the mix). That’s why I love being able to do some of my shopping online, and I love that I can support local crafters and artists through shopping on Etsy.

With Christmas around the corner, I thought it might be helpful to compile a list of my top 15 favorite localEtsylocal Etsy shops for all of your holiday shopping needs. So in no particular order, here are my favs.

Jill’s shop is filled with elegantly designed pieces that are sure to please all. These are just a few of my favorites…

[typography font=”Delius Swash Caps” size=”18″ size_format=”px”]2. White Lillie Designs–[/typography]  We just did a recent write up about this awesome Etsy shop that you can read here. This is a great place to find great gifts for everyone on your list that you can add a personal touch to through customization.

Junie Babie Designs–[/typography]  I just recently bought one of June’s VT onesies for our little one on the way and am so excited to see our newborn in it! Her shop is full of beautiful designs and colorful patterns. You will find onesies and t-shirts for the little ones in your life, beautiful pillows and quilts, and adorable clutches and bags! [typography font=”Delius Swash Caps” size=”18″ size_format=”px”]4. Sweet Avenue Jewelry–[/typography]  I just did some personal Christmas shopping at this store for my mom and niece. I love that she has pieces that can span the generations! Her shop is full of bright and fun jewelry and accessories that you can read more about here. 

[typography font=”Delius Swash Caps” size=”18″ size_format=”px”]5. Thimble and Acorn–[/typography]  I have fallen in love with this Etsy shop! Eve designs clothes and accessories for women out of her studio outside of Woodstock. Her shop is full of one of a kind pieces and she is even willing to make made to order pieces. Here are a few of my favs.

[typography font=”Delius Swash Caps” size=”18″ size_format=”px”]6. Max and Ozzies–[/typography]  Max and Ozzies was featured during our launch, and we love this Etsy shop! It’s filled with adorable crotched animals, colorful bags, eco-friendly lunch bags made out of adorable material, beautiful baby blankets, and fun accessories. Green Mountain Wee Woolies–[/typography]  This is another shop that I am doing some personal Christmas shopping out of for my daughter. They offer special and unique handmade, knitted and felted treasures,in the waldorf tradition. [typography font=”Delius Swash Caps” size=”18″ size_format=”px”]8. Foul Tshirts–[/typography]  This is a great shop for that special man in your life. Here you you will find fun, offbeat, unique and lovable t shirts. Here are a few of my favs…

[typography font=”Delius Swash Caps” size=”18″ size_format=”px”]10. The Northwoods Goat–[/typography]  This Etsy shop sells natural soaps and beauty products. Their key ingredient is creamy goat milk that leaves the skin feeling silky and smooth. They have shampoo bars, soap, lip balm, moisturizers, and herbal salves.

[typography font=”Delius Swash Caps” size=”18″ size_format=”px”]11. Mountain Ash Designs–[/typography]  If you are looking for a beautiful and unique skirt, this is the Etsy shop for you. I’m in love with all of her designs and beautiful prints!

[typography font=”Delius Swash Caps” size=”18″ size_format=”px”]12. Zooble–[/typography]  I just recently discovered this shop and immediately fell in love. Zooble is a family run company in Vermont that makes one of a kind unique Toys and handmade totes. Here are a few of my favs…

Knox MTN Bags–[/typography]  I recently met the owner of this shop at a local craft fair and was immediately drawn to her diaper bags. They are functional with lots of pockets and space for all those baby items, but more importantly, they are adorable! This is definitely on my wish list for baby number 2 and would be the perfect gift for that momma in your life! She also makes gorgeous totes and bags.

These next two shops are not technically on Etsy but can be found via Facebook. Because their stuff is so adorable, I just had to include them on the list!

Baby K Threads–[/typography]  I met Laura through Twitter and discovered her fabulous business that she started after her daughter was born. She sells adorable onesies, baby shoes and booties, dresses, bibs, and hats for the little ones in your life. Her items can be purchased through an Etsy shop that is found on her Facebook page. Be on the look out for a giveaway in the next few days!!

[typography font=”Delius Swash Caps” size=”18″ size_format=”px”]15. Makayla’s Garden Boutique–[/typography]  This shop is the perfect place to outfit your little one in something special. They specialize in handmade headbands, lace/satin rompers & dresses, chunky toddler necklaces, leg warmers, neck ties/bow ties, and other creations. Check out these adorable babes outfitted in some of her creations!
