Our Visiting Santa Social Story to Ease Worries

0

We love the bustle and festivity of the holidays, but sometimes it can be a little overwhelming. Same thing with visiting the jolly fellow in the red suit. He’s fun, he’s magical, but sometimes Santa can be a little scary, too.

We want your child’s visit with Santa to be as pleasant as possible, so Liam of They Create Vermont made us a social story book to help kids of all ages understand what the Hillary Dubie Photography and Vermont Moms’ photos with Santa event is really like. Social stories are photos and text that can be read with kids to help them become comfortable with a new or unfamiliar activity or situation.

Our Visiting Santa social story has text and images that calmly explain what to expect.

We recommend reviewing our social story several times before our event. Another fun thing to do is check out images from past years, particularly the one at Maple Street Art Space:

With our visiting Santa social story, we hope to make the day easy and pleasant for everyone!

Please note: 9-10 AM is reserved for people wanting a sensory-friendly environment. If there are no other spaces available, please do go ahead and purchase from that time frame. Tickets are selling fast, but about 15 remain!
