This holiday season add a little sparkle to your makeup routine! Here are few easy ways to change up your regular makeup for that extra glam look.
Glitter!
I love adding touches of glitter to my makeup. I know that glitter can sound scary and juvenile but there are a few products I really like that add that sparkly touch without being over the top.
LORAC 3D Liquid Lustre drops – Shimmering Eye Makeup Top Coat
These are one of my absolute favorite makeup products. Lustre drops consist of finely milled glitter suspended in liquid that is applied on top of eye shadow to change the look. My favorite is “Diamond” which is a bright white. These do not show up chunky and give the appearance of sparkle without actual glitter pieces. LOVE!
Glitter or metallic liner
For a bit of a bolder look, try using a colored glitter or metallic liner. I like to apply traditional brown or black liner first and then trace a thin line of the glitter/metallic liner on top. Talk about drama when you blink! Try NYX Liquid Crystal or Urban Decay Heavy Metal liners
For metallic or colored liners try Urban Decay liquid liners or Milani Ultrafine Felt Tip Liquid Liner
Highlighters
Highlighters are a great way to add a subtle sparkle to your face without looking too different. They come in different forms such as powder, cream and liquid. Add a highlight to the high points of your face such as cheekbones, the bridge of your nose, your cupids bow on your lips, and under the highest point of your eyebrows. As you move your face the highlight catches the light in subtle beautiful ways for a great holiday glow.
Try MACS Mineralize Skinfinish or e.l.f.’s studio bronzers
Bright lips
Lastly, bright lips are a great way to change up your look in a dramatic way. Whether it is a bright festive red or a party ready pink, a new lip color will definitely bring holiday cheer to your face!
Try NYX Extra Creamy Round Lipsticks or OCC Lip Tars
