2014 Beauty Favs (plus some of your favorites!)

It is hard to believe but another year is almost over! 2014 was an awesome beauty year for me and I hope it was for you as well. I am going to be sharing some of my picks of the year as well as some crowd favorites.

Beauty Favs

1. Anastasia Beverly Hills Dipbrow ($18; sephora.com)

Dipbrow comes in 8 shades and is smudge free and waterproof! Perfect for creating a natural or bold brow.

Anastasia Beverly Hills DIPBROW™ Pomade

 2. Set the Stage Makeup Primer ($39; whiphandcosmetics.com)

Wonderful face primer for all skin types. Their customer service is amazing and I hooked up Miss Vermont with this primer for Miss America!

3. Lime Crime Velvetines Lip Stains ($20; limecrime.com)

These lip stains are HOT! They sell out quickly and the shades are on the daring side. They are touch-proof, transfer-proof, and long-wearing!

 PhotoGrid_14186963357734. Benefit’s They’re Real Mascara ($23; benefitcosmetics.com)

Perfect mascara to splurge on! I usually swear by drugstore mascara (Jordana’s Best Lash Extreme or Covergirl Lash Blast) but this mascara is my high end favorite!

Holy grail to many and one of the first eyeshadow primers out there, Urban Decay’s primer potion remains a cult favorite in 2014.  My personal favorite is Sin!

6. MakeupGeek Eyeshadows ($5.99; makeupgeek.com)

Self starter and YouTube beauty guru Marlena has taken off this past year. Her eyeshadows are extremely popular among makeup artists, not only for their price point, but shade range and staying power.

Other reader favorites included infamous chapstick, Clinique dramatically different moisturizing gel, Sephora’s mattifying moisturizer,  Nars concealer and Orgasm blush, Real Techniques brushes, Smashbox BB cream and concealer, Tarte mascara, and Benefit Boi-ing concealer and SLEEP!!

This post makes a whole year of beauty blogging for me at the Burlington VT moms blog! I had a great year working with over 20 brides here in Vermont, working with Miss Vermont, and being published in Vermont Vows!

Here’s to a great 2015 🙂
