Where to Buy or Cut Your Own Christmas Tree In and Around Burlington

If your family enjoys the tradition of picking out a real tree for Christmas you know there are a lot of choices out there!

We have gathered together our team’s favorite places to either buy or cut down your own Christmas tree in and around the Burlington, Vermont area!

Healthy Living – Make-A-Wish Vermont will be at Healthy Living selling Christmas trees from a VT tree farm owned by Luke Belleville’s family. Luke was granted a wish by Make A Wish in the past, and him and his family have decided to pay it forward. The Belleville’s family tree farm has generously donated 50 trees to Make A Wish Vermont that were planted the year of his wish.

City Market – When you purchase your tree at City Market, 100% of the proceeds are given to COTS. What a great way to celebrate the spirit of the holidays!

White’s Tree Farm – Choose and cut your own tree in Essex Junction at White’s Tree Farm.

Puritan Maple and Tree Farm – Open weekends from 9 am to dusk, located in Huntington.

Werner’s Christmas Tree Farm – Open Tuesday-Friday from 12:00 – 5:00 and Weekends from 10:00 – 5:00. Stop in the Christmas Shop for complimentary cookies and cocoa!

Isham Family Farm – Open weekends 9 am until dark and “hit or miss” on weekdays. Free cocoa and sweet maple goodies and local jams and jellies for sale in the Sugarhouse.

Handy Hill Tree Farm Choose and cut your own tree, located in Williston. Open weekends from 9-4 and by appointment during the week.

Urie’s Tree farm Choose and cut your own tree. Open on weekends during the daylight hours and on weekdays during the afternoon starting December 4th. Located in Williston. Enjoy some hot cocoa on the weekends!

Breezy Acres – Located in St Albans. Christmas trees arrive in early December, call to find out days and times. Free ornament with the purchase of your tree!

Russell Tree Farm – Located in Starksboro, you can visit on Saturdays from 10-4, Sundays from 11-4, and weekdays by appointment. Visit on the weekends for sleigh rides and hot cocoa!

Murray Hill Tree Farm Choose and cut your own tree, located in Waterbury. Open daily during the daylight hours until Christmas Eve.

Sharp Farm Choose and cut your own tree from 10-4 on weekends until Christmas. Located in Milton. They suggest you come early in the season for best pick!

Christmas Trees of Vermont – This one is a bit farther out there in Spirngfield but has lots of holiday fun to offer! Open every day from 10-4 with lots of fun activities during the weekend!

Boy Scouts – Check with your local Boy Scouts troop as many sell Christmas trees as a fundraiser! Some of our team members support the troop in Shelburne on Route 7 where the Farmer’s Market is usually held in the town square!

  1. White’s tree farm over by Jericho should be on this list. Easy access, great staff, cocoa, treeshaker and “netting”, great tree selection right along route 15
