The Vermont State Fair

This fair boasts more free entertainment than any other Fair.  There are Agricultural events, farm museums, horse, pony and ox pulling contests. A midway with over 35 rides games and concessions. Daily Free Events: Circus Hollywood, Racing Pigs, Petting Zoo, Friesian Horses, Pony Rides, The White Shadow, Al the Artist and more!!!

Raptors in Residence @ Shelburne Farms

Come face to face with a live owl or hawk from 1 to 4 pm. Experience the wonder and learn the mysteries of live birds of prey.

Repeats every week every Tuesday and every Thursday and every Saturday until Sat Sep 19 2015

Archeology @ Echo

September is Archaeology Month at Echo. They will be having Charlie Paquin of the Vermont Archaeology Society this weekend.

Programming includes: 
Saturday, Sept. 5, 1-3 p.m. – Make & Take a Clay Bowl: Make pinch pots and coil bowls in the Native American style
Sunday, Sept. 6, 1-2:30 p.m. – Prehistoric Roadshow: Bring in your own prehistoric finds to have the Vermont Archaeological Society identify and analyze them
Sunday Sept. 6, 1-2:30 p.m. – Flint Knapping Demo: The Vermont Archaeological Society will demonstrate how Native Americans shape projectile points
Cost: Free with the cost of admission: Echo Members free | Toddler 2 years and under free | Children 3-17 years old $10.50 | Seniors and College Students $11.50 | Adults 19-59 years $13.50
