Family Fishing Festival in Grand Isle 

Join the VT Fish and Wildlife Department from 9 am to 3 pm at Ed Weed Fish Culture Station, 14 Bell Hill Road, Grand Isle for a day of family fishing! Designed for young anglers and families, this exciting event offers basic fishing instruction and the chance for kids to catch big trout in the hatchery pond.

Vermont Days

Vermont Days is an annual weekend in June celebrating the arrival of summer. Enjoy a FREE sample of Vermont’s excellent fishing, state parks, and historic culture. Bring the family to your choice of Vermont state parks (day use), fish at any Fish &Wildlife fishing access (no license required for the day- Saturday Only), enjoy FREE entry at State Historic Sites or admission to the Vermont History Museum in Montpelier (Saturday Only), Vermont & the Vermont History Center in Barre!

Kids Pirate Festival 2015

The Lake Champlain Maritime Museum campus (Vergennes) will be taken over from 10 am to 5 pm Saturday 6/13 and Sunday 6/14 by the pirates of New England Brethren of Pirates, the one and only Captain Jane Swallow, sailors, syrens, and mutineers from all distant shores for this family friendly swashbuckling good time!

Come in costume and enjoy exciting pirate-themed activities, sing-alongs, and make-and-take crafts for the whole family. Listen and sing along with the shanty stylings of by Rockin’ Ron the Friendly Pirate!

See the Pirate Fleet on Lake Champlain, visit the Pirate Camp to learn all about life on the high seas, and join in the Great Pirate Tug-o-War! Recover sunken treasure using a Remotely Operated Vehicle (ROV), grab lunch or a snack in the new Grub & Grog area with Hot Tamale, Kingdom Creamery of Vermont, and JJ’s Maple Cotton Candy and Popcorn! Discover the microscopic critters of Lake Champlain as we dive in with a microscope LIVE on the movie screen during Walk The Plankton, and much more!Fun and treasure for all ages!
