What is about Father’s Day that says, “Let’s throw some meat on the grill!” I don’t know but I don’t mind it one bit!
Summer weather is finally here and if your family is anything like ours, we are grilling just about every night! When I had the chance to try Healthy Living’s house marinated meats for grilling I didn’t wait for Father’s Day to grill up something special!
After a chat with the very knowledgeable guys behind the meat counter, I decided to try the Maple Balsamic Sirloin Tips. (Wipe your mouth, you’re drooling.) I made kabobs with the sirloin tips (as well as some chicken), red and green peppers, and onions and tossed them on the grill. I also threw some Brussels Sprouts and (locally grown!) asparagus on the grill after drizzling them with some olive oil. With a side of quinoa and perfectly chewy rolls from the Healthy Living Bake Shop, we had a feast in front of us! Oh and the Shelburne Vineyards bottle of red didn’t hurt, either! This meal was so quick, so easy, no recipe or tons of ingredients, just delicious!
