I’m excited to share this wonderful local business run by a wonderful local momma with all of you! I first met Laura through twitter. I perused her Facebook page and fell in love with her adorable handmade baby items. You can immediately tell that an immense amount of love and detail go into Laura’s work!
Laura is a stay at home momma to her little girl Kailyn. She actually began sewing after she found out she was having a little girl in the Spring of 2010, and after receiving numerous compliments on her adorable creations, Baby K Threads was born!
She has mostly sold through local farmer’s markets and craft shows (the Rutland market is her home base), but she has now expanded to selling on line through her new Etsy shop. Shopping through Baby K threads is just another way for us mommas to show our love for small local businesses! There are a lot of gift and gear options out there for expecting or current moms, but Baby K Threads gifts have local love in every piece. Check out some of these adorable Baby K Threads creations!
Laura generously gave two of our moms on our team an item to try out on their little babes and here are their thoughts…

“Little piggies, tootsies, sweet feetsers…love those tiny baby feet. Especially love those baby feet in adorable baby shoes. I put Ruby in a pair of Baby K shoes and they are the cutest. Let’s talk first about the darling pattern. I love the sweet floral with a geometric edge. My kinda style…and Ruby’s too. Second, the fabric is soft cotton with a flannel lining. Perfect for the winter, which apparently has already arrived. And finally, the design/construction is greatt for growing baby feet. The elastic around the ankle is snug enough to keep the shoes from falling off, but not so tight as to cut off her circulation. I have tried other baby shoes before on Ruby and they always leave marks on her sweet little ankles (soon to be cankles). Two adult and two baby thumbs up for Baby K threads!”

“Canaan wore the cow long sleeve onesie (6-12 months). Three major things I loved about this onesie:
- It’s just plain cute! I mean seriously, cow print in the shape of Vermont. Awesome way for a baby to say “Yeah, I’m from Vermont and I love cows!”
- The actual feel of the onesie is unlike his other clothes and I think it’s due to the fact that it’s organic cotton. The fabric is thicker AND softer than his other long sleeve onesies. Perfect for the colder months ahead of us.
- For whatever reason, the leg holes on this onesie seem larger. Now my baby has some tree trunks for legs and with most of his other onesies I find it difficult to pull it down around his diaper and have some wiggle room. This onesie has plenty of wiggle room for his chunky legs with room to grow, so that makes this Mama happy!”

I would love a pair of boots for my daughter so when I bring her to drop off my son at school she will have something warm but not big clunky boots.
