It’s the first weekend in June and there is a ton to do a family, here are some of our favorite events!

Vermont Dairy Festival (Enosburg)

A four day, family festival chock full of fun. It includes midway rides, a pancake breakfast, fireworks, Marco the Magician, parade on Saturday, fiddlers, dairy farm tours, a 10,000 meter milk run, a cow plop contest and lots of children’s activities.  Check out the full schedule of events.

HELPFUL HINTS

  • Bring your own strollers, wheelchairs and lawn chairs (which are especially useful for all entertainment events).
  • No alcoholic beverages allowed (local ordinances will be enforced).
  • Be courteous when parking around the village.
  • Most events are FREE; scholarship pageant and horse pull, however, do have an admission fee.
  • Admission to the grounds is FREE. Come on out and have a safe, fun weekend!

Burlington Discover Jazz Festival

Join in the fun of the opening weekend of Burlington’s Discover Jazz Festival! The Festival began in 1983.  Throughout downtown this 10-day festival takes place on Church Street Market Place stages, in the Flynn Center, in City Hall park and in neighborhood clubs and restaurants.

Waterbury Kids Fest

This entirely free annual event is held at Rusty Parker Park in downtown Waterbury. The day is full with on-going entertainment at center stage including music, dancing and other kid focused fun. Tents filled with vendors provide children’s crafts and activities, live demonstrations, snacks and kid and family focused information.

KidsFest welcomes a Bike Rodeo and helmet giveaway at the Waterbury Train Station as well. Come explore, bounce, dance, tumble, snack and play the day away at Kids Fest and discover all that Waterbury has to offer!

Day of Play @ Dorset Park

Join your communityto celebrate summer and all that South Burlington has to offer at Dorset Park. The farmers market will kick off the summer season with delicious local delights, as well as bounce castle, book mobile, tennis demos, track and field fun, games, face painting, pre-school activities and more.

This event is brought to you in collaboration with Common Roots, South Burlington Community Library, Growing Kids South Burlington, South Burlington Family Center and the South Burlington Recreation Department. Come sample what the summer has to offer at this free event!
