Dine and Discuss at New Moon Cafe with Vicki Hoefle {Recap}

We had such a wonderful time at our very first Dine and Discuss event! These bi-monthly events were birthed out of our desire to create a more intimate event style that would allow moms to come together over yummy food, relevant topics and great discussion. And this first event did just that! This first event was held at the fabulous New Moon Cafe off Cherry St. in downtown Burlington. They graciously provided us with some yummy apps and cupcakes, as well as coffee and tea while we listened to Vicki speak. All of the food was absolutely delicious and their spacious back room provided the perfect ambience for the event. Be sure and stop by New Moon soon for breakfast or lunch and experience their yummy food for yourself! Vicki Hoefle, the author of Duct Tape Parenting, helped us kick off this new event series and we couldn’t have been more thrilled! She discussed with us why less may be more when it comes to parenting and the mommas (and dad!) were all full of questions as we started to think through some of the ideas she presented. Not only did she make us think, but she kept us laughing all through the evening! We were so thankful to Vicki for allowing each of the attendees to take a copy of her book, Duct Tape Parenting, home so that we can continue to learn and mull over all of her powerful parenting ideas and techniques! Another thank you to Kids City and Scout and Co. who provided each attendee with some swag to take home! Make sure you show these fabulous local businesses some love!
